The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is joining with Mahoning County Public Health and Trumbull County Combined Health District to encourage employers and their employees and families to become vaccinated as we continue the fight against COVID-19:
Mahoning County Public Health is now scheduling appointments for its next mass vaccination clinic, to be held at the former Dillard’s store at the Southern Park Mall, at 7401 Market St. in Boardman, on Friday, April 23. The Moderna vaccine will be administered at this clinic. Please note that those who register for this vaccine on the 23rd must also be available to receive the second dose on Friday, May 21st (this cannot be rescheduled). With these clinics being well-run and -organized, those with appointments can expect to be in and out in about a half-hour. For more information or to register, visit mahoninghealth.org.
The Trumbull County Combined Health District has been noticing a trend of decreased COVID-19 positive cases in settings where a significant number of individuals working or residing in that setting have become vaccinated. As a result, the district is offering on-site COVID-19 vaccine clinics to Trumbull County businesses for their employees and family members who have yet to be vaccinated. By vaccinating on-site, the District hopes to improve vaccination rates, provide for a safe workplace and keep Trumbull County businesses open. Smaller businesses are encouraged to collaborate and host at one location to reach at least 50 individuals for a vaccine clinic. If you are interested in hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at your business, please call 330-675-7807.
The Regional Chamber joined Ohio’s Coalition to Stop the Spread earlier this year in an effort to protect its own employees, as well as help our thousands of members speak to their employees about the importance of practicing safe protocols, not just at work, but in family and other social settings. The Coalition, comprising 225 members, is focused on a common goal of reaching community immunity from COVID so that Ohio’s residents can stay healthy and our economy remain open for business.
Guy Coviello, president & CEO at the Regional Chamber, said, “We know that many of our member businesses have been struggling through this pandemic. We strongly encourage businesses to remind their employees to practice safety protocols and guidelines both at work and in social settings so that businesses can continue to reopen and stay open.”
