The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber has launched a new student engagement and workforce retention initiative designed to foster meaningful connections between college interns and the Mahoning Valley.

The Neighborhood Homes Investment Act—legislation that creates a federal tax incentive aimed at building and preserving more than 500,000 affordable single-family homes over the next 10 years in under-resourced neighborhoods—presents an opportunity to help stabilize and strengthen housing in the Valley.

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s Mahoning Valley Safety Council (MVSC), in partnership with City Machine Technologies, Inc., recently presented their annual Joan Kovach Safety Leadership Award to ClarkDietrich Building Systems during a MVSC meeting at the Youngstown Country Club. Child care challenges continue to stand as a critical barrier to workforce attraction and retention across the Mahoning Valley. To address these pressing issues, the Early Childhood Resource Center, in partnership with PNC, Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, will host a community breakfast focused on "The Landscape of Child Care in Mahoning Valley."
