Reminder, Small Business Saturday!
Small Business Saturday is a one-day event every November on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. In 2024, that's Nov. 30. Shop Small is a nationwide movement to celebrate small businesses on Small Business Saturday and every day to help local communities thrive and stay vibrant. Small Business Saturday is intended to encourage consumers to shop at small and locally owned businesses, including retail stores and restaurants as well as other small businesses, such as hair salons, grocery stores, service-based companies & small businesses that exist online. By shopping at your local businesses, you’re helping boost your local economy and preserving neighborhoods around the country - The money generated by small businesses goes right back into the local economy!
Fun fact: There are 33.2 million small businesses in the U.S. and they make up 99% of all businesses. For the past 20 years, small businesses have accounted for roughly 40% of the United States’ gross domestic output (GDP), which equates to trillions of dollars of economic activity.
