Welcome to the annual Columbus Drive-In at the Ohio Chamber in Columbus. Past Drive-Ins have resulted in millions of dollars in state funding and essential policies to help make the Mahoning Valley a better place to live, learn, work and raise a family. Today will consist of 75-100 Valley leaders holding meetings with the most influential state policymakers.

With a broad range of community Operating Budget projects, the Drive-In provides the means to advocate for the Valley. Speakers at the event will be forthcoming, but as always, with the ever-changing political landscape, we must understand that our agenda could change at a moment's notice. We will do our best to accommodate, should this happen.

Speakers to include (with more to come):

J.P. Nauseef, President and Chief Executive Officer, JobsOhio

J.P. Nauseef is U.S. Air Force veteran, entrepreneur and, since March of 2019, he has served as the president and chief executive officer of JobsOhio, a uniquely structured, private, economic development corporation that gives Ohio a competitive advantage in driving job creation and new capital investment in the State.

Rob McColley, Ohio Senate President

Senator Rob McColley was unanimously elected President of the Ohio Senate in January of 2025, and will preside over the Upper Chamber during the 136th General Assembly.

Matt Huffman, Ohio Speaker of the House

State Representative Matt Huffman proudly serves the 78th Ohio House District and resides in Lima. At the beginning of the 136th General Assembly, he was unanimously elected Speaker of the Ohio House after previously serving as Senate President in the 135th General Assembly.

Lydia Mihalik, Director, Ohio Department of Development

Lydia Mihalik is the Director of the Ohio Department of Development, a state agency committed to empowering communities to succeed by investing in the people, places, and businesses of Ohio.

Frank LaRose, Ohio Secretary of State

Frank LaRose became Ohio’s 51st Secretary of State on January 14, 2019, bringing to the office years of hard-earned leadership skills and public service developed as a U.S. Army Reservist, State Senator, U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret, and Eagle Scout.
