Shea MacMillan is Vice President of Economic Development at the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber but first joined the organization in 2017 as Economic Development Specialist. Since then, he has touched all facets of the Economic Development Division. When he first came onboard, MacMillan maintained a property database for Trumbull and Mahoning counties and responded to attraction opportunities. He then began to support the Chamber’s Business Retention, Expansion (BRE) program, along with project management.
MacMillan has worked on notable expansion and attraction projects in the region, such as the $3.2 billion Ultium Cells project and $20 million Macy’s Distribution project, in which he acted on securing state and local funds, in addition to providing necessary due diligence on the property and region.
In his current role as Vice President, the Niles resident oversees the Chamber’s future involvement in economic development, as well as the department’s current efforts in workforce development, project management, BREs, site readiness and diversity, equity & inclusion.
Macmillan sits on several local boards, including CASTLO Industrial Park, Niles Community Improvement Corporation and the Mahoning River Corridor Initiative, and he is the president of the Mahoning Valley Young Professionals group.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, graduating magna cum laude from Youngstown State University, and earned his OhioCED Certification as a best-in-class economic developer from The Ohio Economic Development Institute.
