Mark Kholos accepted the position of Account Executive at the Regional Chamber in 1998. In this role, he is responsible for bringing new members into the Chamber and educating them on benefits such as networking, health care insurance, workers compensation coverage, electric and natural gas discounts and reduced shipping rates, to name a few. Along with joining new members, he works to connect with existing members so they continue to be active with the organization for years to come.
Prior to joining the organization, Kholos spent five years as a newspaper reporter for the Tribune Chronicle and Sharon Herald and later held various positions in corporate public relations, marketing and advertising.
Kholos is a proud board member for both the Salem Community Theatre and Ozer Ministries in East Palestine. He has also volunteered for The Brightside Project, Salem Artisans Against Domestic Violence Art Show and Streetscape Youngstown. Since 2009 he has been active in community theater, performing in such shows as The Odd Couple; Fiddler on the Roof; The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe; Annie; Miracle on 34th Street; Damn Yankees; The Wizard of Oz; and more.
The Pittsburgh native earned his Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Duquesne University and lives in Salem with his wife, Cheryl. They have three children, Jay, Joshua and Bethany.
