Safety Awards: Safety Awareness Campaign
In
addition to the premium discount, a
safety campaign lasting 12 months recognizes companies with excellent
and improved safety records. Beginning January 1st and ending
December
31st, member companies submit semiannual reports disclosing the number
of lost-time injuries. Safety Awards are issued to the companies with
improved or no lost time injuries.
Member
companies are classified into groups according to business
classifications and their level of risk for their operation.
Award Categories
The Division of Safety and Hygiene presents award certificates to
qualifying companies in the following award categories:
- Group
Award to the company with the lowest incident rate in each group.
- 100%
Award to each company that works the entire year without a
lost-time
