PRIORITY PROJECT #5A
GLENMOOR/LACROFT SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
(3rd RANKING SANITARY SEWER PROJECT)
Request
Summary: Proposed
project is being requested to service an unsewered area in the
southeast
portion of Columbiana
County
currently being
served by on-lot septic systems. The septic systems are causing
unsanitary
conditions. The Ohio EPA has ordered Columbiana County to abate environmental
pollution
in the unsewered area. Project to be done in 4 phases. Only Phases I
and II are
in the development stage.
Project
Description: Phase I
–
Proposes sanitary sewers along Cannons Mill Rd. from C.r. 424
(y&O Rd.)
to C.R. 425, then along C.R. 424
from Lindy St.
to C.R. 425. Sewers are proposed along Dresden Ave. from C.R. 425 to
S.R. 170,
then approximately 1200’ along the southbound on ramp to S.R. 11
from S.R. 170
to Dressen Ave.
A pump station is proposed to be located at the intersection of Cannons Mill Rd.
and S.R. 45 with a force main installed along C.R. 425 from Cannons Mill Rd.
to C.R. 424.
Phase
II – proposes sanitary
sewers on portions of S.R. 267, Cannons Mill Rd., Y&O Rd. ,
and Irish Mill Rd. Sewers are proposed for Rankin, Kelley, Wyoming,
Glen,
Fifth, Harvard, Cornell, Sharon, Staunton, Center, Lindy, Samuel, Coolidge,
Davies, Huston,
Franklin, Hamilton,
Calvin, Rural, Lincoln,
John and Dale Streets.

Final Engineering reports and plans will be
filled this
week. Phase II must break out to comply
with EPA. Revised cost to be given at next meeting
