The Niles Area Council of the Regional Chamber is now accepting nominations for its 2009 William Clayman Community Pride Award, which honors businesses or organizations located within the township/city limits of Niles that exemplify ethical, moral and professional standards in their workplace or organization and have visibly contributed to the local economy or quality of life.
Nominations for the award—named in honor of late industrialist and president of Niles Iron and Metal, William Clayman, who was a community leader and philanthropist—are available in
PDF format and may be submitted
through September 4. The recipient will be honored at the Good Morning, Niles event in November.
Nominees must have a physical presence in the Niles area and may be from the for-profit or not-for-profit sector. Previous Clayman Community Pride Award nominees are eligible for re-nomination. Nominees are encouraged but not required to be a member of the Regional Chamber.
The first recipient of this prestigious award was Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
