The Warren Area Council of the Regional Chamber is now accepting nomination forms for its 2009 Pendleton Business Pride Award, which honors businesses located within the City of Warren that exemplify superior ethical, moral and professional standards in their workplace while supporting the city's economic and community development.
Nominees must have a physical presence in the City of Warren and be from the for-profit sector, in good standing with the Better Business Bureau, in compliance with all Warren City Ordinances and current on all fees, utilities and taxes. Previous Pendleton Business Pride Award nominees are eligible for re-nomination. Nominees are not required to be members of the Regional Chamber or any other civic, service or professional organization.
Past recipients include The Saratoga Restaurant, Diane Sauer Chevrolet, Covelli Enterprises, McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Thom Duma Fine Jewelers, Title Professionals, AVI Food Systems and the Book Nook.

Nominations for the award — named for Warren native Alec Pendleton and his family, who were instrumental in revitalizing much of Downtown Warren — may be submitted through July 31. The recipient will be honored at Good Morning, Warren on October 2.
