The Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) provides for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mahoning County. The agency is responsible for the mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery actions for all major emergencies and disasters, such as floods, tornados, chemical spills, blizzards, droughts and terrorism. It is the lead county agency as established by the Board of Commissioners for Homeland Security funding, training and operations. The Mahoning County EMA also facilitates planning and resource deployment of county departments and agencies — including faith-based organizations — in times of crisis.
Speaker Clark A. Jones, Mahoning County EMA director, will review the agency’s emergency planning strategy.
This session has been approved for 1.0 credit hour toward the PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification.
