What is Grow Home?
Grow Home is a campaign recognizing and celebrating individuals, including graduates of Youngstown State University, who have taken leadership roles in starting new businesses or building upon and expanding existing businesses in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys. These individuals have demonstrated a commitment to improving and making a difference in the region. Grow Home celebrates that commitment and provides opportunities for them and others to continue contributing to the economic vitality of the region.
Grow Home is lead by U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, Youngstown State University and the Regional chamber. Individuals who have started new businesses or played a role in expanding their existing businesses are highlighted on the Grow Home webpage (http://www.ysu.edu/growhome) and in various publications of YSU and the Regional Chamber.

A Special Bonus
Forever Buckeyes, a provision included in the FY 12-13 budget bill, extends the in-state resident tuition rate to any public or private Ohio high school graduate who leaves the state but returns to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program at an Ohio college and also establishes residency in Ohio. The Forever Buckeyes provision of the law removes the 12-month period of establishing domicile in Ohio before becoming eligible for in-state tuition rates.
