Regional Chamber’s Efforts Attract Manufacturer To Brookfield
120 New Jobs To Be Created…..
After considering a host of sites in Ohio and Pennsylvania, TMK IPSCO, the parent company for Ultra Premium Oilfield Services, Ltd. has signed a lease and begun renovations at their new 128,500 square foot facility in Brookfield. From this location, the company plans to expand the threading capacity of their ULTRA Premium Connections product line – steel pipe products used in natural gas exploration. Over the past several months, the Regional Chamber’s Sarah Boyarko, manager of business development has been working with the Office of Congressman Tim Ryan and the Ohio Department of Development to land this deal. As part of these efforts, the Chamber worked to secure important project incentives such as an Ohio Job Creation Tax Credit, which will save the company an estimated $872,000.
This $10 million expansion project will enable the company to respond to the growing needs of their customers exploring the Marcellus Shale Natural Gas Field – an area that extends through Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New York. The new facility will have the capacity to produce up to 100,000 tons of threaded pipe annually. Production is planned to begin within the next few months and will result in the hiring of 50 full time employees during 2010, growing to 120 over the next three years.
This exciting win will result in positions that pay on average $22 per hour.
